Ernest is an in demand session bassist having performing on over 35 releases and multiple commercials for AT&T, LG phones, V8, Budweiser, Nike, General Electric, as well as on tracks for such television shows as Blue’s Clues, Dawson’s Creek, The Today Show, One Life to Live, The Osbournes and The Real World. He has also preformed or recorded with many artists including: Stephen Merritt, DJ FS, DJ Spooky, The Real Tuesday Weld, Craig Wedern (Shudder to Think), Frank London (Klezmatics), Kenny Werner, Joe Lovano, Ed Schuller, Kenny Garrett, Jeff Watts, Joshua Redman, Antonio Hart, Daniel Carter, Melnikoff, Ran Blake, Kenwood Denard, Kirk Nurock, members of Gogol Bordello, Dana Colley (Morphine), Martin Sexton, Tim Easton, Duke Daniels (The Platters).
He has studied bass under Leigh Mesh (Associate Principal of The Metropolitan Opera Orchestra), John Stovall (Boston Symphony Orchestra), Ran Blake, Gunther Schuller, Kenny Werner, Bruce Gertz, Ed Lucie and Jim Smith, and has performed at The Lilith Fair, Carnegie Hall, Town Hall, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Jazz at LIncoln Center, The Winter Garden, Barge Music, SXSW & CMJ music festivals, the JVC and Boston Globe Jazz Festivals, Crystal and Carnival Cruise Lines, as well as touring across the United States, the Caribbean, Mexico, Europe and Scandinavia. His recording and engineering skils have had him travel to Africa to do remote choral field recordings.
