Ernest will be in NYC from May 3 -7 for the Columbia University film festival. He scored Jen Gerber‘s “Soul Winner” as well as the Columbia University Film Festival 25th anniversary documentary short which is slated to open the festival at Lincoln Center on May 4th. He is also scoring several shorts for Fergus Walsh. He has done several rounds of ringtones for APM. Ernest’s score to “Drift” was featured in a composers panel at the ASCAP Expo. He has been busy producing music with Warren Johnson as well as doing library cues and commercial spots.

Ernest is excited to announce that he has been given the green light on his proposal to create and direct a new children’s choir being developed by Opportunity Education. The endeavor will take him back to Africa (Ghana, Sierra Leone, Uganda, Tanzania, South Africa, Lesotho) and to part of Asia (Sri Lanka, India and Nepal). He will be traveling to various schools and auditioning prospective choir members later this year and plans to start rehearsals and performances early in 2013. Ernest has also been busy doing ring-tones for APM as well as working on several commercials. He is also about to start a few exciting scoring opportunities that will most likely carry over into April as well a production project with his partner Warren Johnson. He is also excited to start work on film #2 for Fergus Walsh. Look for mixes from the second Putti Village record later this spring or summer. Those sessions undergoing further recording work by Mike Cohen back in NY. Ernest will be mixing and mastering as soon as those sessions are finished. Ernest also has another mix project in the works and hopefully he’ll have a more formal announcement about that in April.

Ernest has had a very busy January. He spent 16 days traveling to Uganda to record the second record for “The Putti VIllage.” He mixed and mastered the last record which raised close to $10,000 for assistance to the village. The current recordings are currently in post production and have a release date scheduled for later this year. He also composed several ringtones for APM as well as did work on several commercials.
