January 2012
Ernest has had a very busy January. He spent 16 days traveling to Uganda to record the second record for “The Putti VIllage.” He mixed and mastered the last record which raised close to $10,000 for assistance to the village. The current recordings are currently in post production and have a release date scheduled for later this year. He also composed several ringtones for APM as well as did work on several commercials.

A Farewell to Arm has been granted early acceptance for the 2nd annual Queens World Film Festival taking place March 1-4, 2012. Ernest did the underscore and would like to congratulate the Snyder Brothers on getting into another festival.

Adzent Music is continuing to integrate the library onto sound cloud and the site. We are up to 10 full cds of material and have 9 more to go. We are finishing up the Blues, Country & Souther Rock disc and will be moving on to Orchestral shortly. Ernest won another ASCAP plus award that makes 3 years in a row. I wanted to let you know of a recently complete webisode Ernest scored for Lulu Wang and Flying Box Productions called Eat At the Bar. It up and he is looking forward to new episodes in the future. Ernest worked with Lulu years ago on a short film she did called Can Can. It’s been great to get back in touch. There should be news of some other projects from Flying Box Productions. Ernest and the family have successfully made the transition from east coast to west coast! Ernest has a writing room up and running and is starting to dig into the back log of work that has piled up over the last 3 weeks. Ernest completed scores for A Farewell To Arm, screened at the Long Island International Film Expo. He also did scores for Makiko Fukaya’s short film Drift and KK Lin’s short film The Quest, both of which screened at School of Visual Arts, New York city in May. As well, Ernest composed several tracks for Jessica Rotondi’s Short film C’est Moi, screened at the 2010 Columbia University Film Festival. Ernest would like to congratulate Shiouwen Hong for her film Understatement making it into the 2009 MetroCAF festival. The screening is on October 1st. Understatement has also been selected for the “Up And Coming International Film Festival” in Germany and the “Moving Image Film Festival” in Toronto. Ernest recently licensed several tracks to an Intel web campaign. Ernest just finished up music for Nicole Brending’s new film, as always it was a pleasure working with Nicole. He’s mastering a record for Michael Cohen’s project with The Jews of Uganda and he recently placed some new music on Inked and is currently working on some web spots and provided a track to the latest NY Food Bank spot. He also found out he is a recipient of an ASCAP Plus award.
